White & Brown Center Console Reupholstery

This center console owner wanted something warmer than plain white, so we paired bright white seating with brown accents and a teak-look nonskid pad for a rich, natural feel.

We recovered the bow cushions, console and helm seat in white marine vinyl with brown accent panels, and fitted the teak-look pad to tie it together.

Mixing a light main color with a warm accent is a great way to add depth without going dark. Both materials still have to be marine-grade so the whites stay white and the browns stay rich.

The challenge

Blending bright white with warm brown accents and a teak-look pad so the combination reads intentional, and every material survives full sun and salt.

What we did

We recovered the seating in UV-resistant white marine vinyl with fade-resistant brown accents, fitted a marine teak-look pad, and sewed it all with UV-stable thread.

The result

A warm, custom-looking center console that stands apart from the sea of plain white boats, and holds up to real use.

Mixing colors and textures on a boat

A two-tone or textured look adds character. A few pointers:

• Keep one color dominant and use the second as an accent, it reads cleaner than a 50-50 split.
• Warm accents like browns and tans pair beautifully with white and hide scuffs better than pure white alone.
• Teak-look pads add texture and grip without the upkeep of real teak.
• Match the marine grade across every material so they age at the same rate.
